UrbanChain steps into the ring for Charity Boxing Nights 2025

UrbanChain proudly went gloves-on this weekend as a Premium Event Sponsor for the 10-year anniversary of Charity Boxing Nights, hosted at the iconic Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
The sold-out black-tie event brought together hundreds of professionals and business leaders from across the North West for a night of boxing, entertainment, and fundraising - raising over £50,000 on the night, with the final total to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Founded by Ric Moylan in memory of his niece Sofia Rose, Charity Boxing Nights has now raised more than £750,000 over the past decade for incredible causes including St. Mary’s Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit.
Among this year’s fighters was Basim Basheer Thayyil, UrbanChain’s Senior PPA Originator, who represented the team with heart, strength, and composure — winning a hard-fought bout in front of a crowd of more than 500 people.
“It was an incredible experience,” said Basim. “From months of training to the electric atmosphere at the Hilton, it was fantastic. I’m proud to have taken part — and even prouder to have done it with UrbanChain backing me.”
